I have always felt the pull to explore, to navigate the unknown, and to walk the unbeaten path. From a young age, I found myself drawn to wayfinding—not just as a skill, but as a way of life. There’s something visceral and essential about pointing yourself towards an uncertain horizon and saying, “Let’s see what’s out there.” It’s this internal compass, this relentless drive, that has guided me through the life I’ve built and the experiences I’ve chased.

I studied celestial navigation as a teenager, spending weekends on the vast, open ocean, sailing under skies blanketed with stars. This was long before the convenience of GPS, where the only tools I had were maps, stars, and my own instincts. My job was simple, yet profound: make sure we were heading in the right direction, avoid obstacles, and keep everyone safe. Sometimes, despite all the knowledge, maps, and tools in the world, I had to rely on my gut—a finely tuned instinct developed through experience and a deep trust in myself.

As I sit here and reflect, I see how the lessons from those days on the water have seeped into every part of my life. Being a wayfinder isn’t just about direction; it’s a mindset, a willingness to face the unknown with open arms. Even now, I approach life with a solution-oriented perspective, firmly believing that there is always a way forward—even if that way means laying anchor for a while, waiting for the fog to lift, and finding clarity in the stillness. Sometimes, the wisest choice is simply to pause, take a deep breath, and wait for the path to reveal itself.

I am happiest outside of my comfort zone, in that space where certainty ends and curiosity begins. I’ve never been one to play it safe or settle for what’s comfortable. Growth doesn’t live in the comfort zone; it’s found in the places that challenge us, push us, and break us open. This desire to push beyond has been my constant companion—a way of life that began when I was just a kid and has only intensified with time.

Growing up, I was the tomboy who didn’t quite fit within the narrow confines of what society said a girl should be. Even when I tried to blend in, it never quite worked. I remember standing toe-to-toe with the head of our church at age 10, having a theological debate about the value of Sunday school. I wasn’t afraid to question things, to challenge norms, even if it meant standing alone.

Since then, I’ve continued to make choices that others might see as brave—or maybe even reckless. I’ve raced cars, taught rock climbing, left secure jobs, travelled across continents, sold successful businesses, and continuously pushed myself into spaces that demanded growth. Each time, I stepped out of what was safe and familiar, because there was something more important on the line: a need to fully inhabit the skin I’ve been given in this lifetime.

There’s a certain kind of joy that people with wayfinding hearts carry. We understand, instinctively, that there’s always a path forward, even if it’s obscured at first. We know that the journey isn’t always linear or easy, but that’s what makes it meaningful. We understand that life isn’t about resisting change or clinging to safety; it’s about flowing with the currents, adjusting our sails, and trusting that we’ll find our way.

And here’s the thing about this path: it’s not about proving yourself to anyone else. It’s about fully showing up for yourself. It’s about understanding that each challenge, each discomfort, each detour is another layer, adding depth and texture to who you are. Every time I’ve stretched beyond what I thought was possible, I’ve discovered new parts of myself, new capabilities I didn’t know existed.

In a world that constantly tells us to play it safe, to settle, to follow the beaten path, being a wayfinder is an act of rebellion. It’s choosing to live a life that is fully yours, shaped by your own hands and guided by your own heart. It’s about having the courage to ask, “What if?” and then going out and finding the answer.

That’s what Artemis Blueprint is all about. It’s a journey for the courageous souls who refuse to stay in the comfort zone, who are ready to step into the unknown with an open heart and a determined spirit. It’s a space where we honor that innate curiosity, where we challenge ourselves to stretch, to break, and to rebuild—stronger, wiser, and more connected.

So if you’re someone who feels that pull, that restlessness, that desire to explore what lies beyond, I invite you to join us. Leave your doubts and your “Yeah, buts” at the door. Come with an open heart, ready to learn, ready to grow, ready to find your way.

This is your invitation to lean into the discomfort, to trust in the process, and to discover the uncharted territories within yourself. Because at the end of the day, that’s what being a wayfinder is all about: embracing the journey, wherever it may lead, and finding joy in every step.

So, are you curious to set sail? Are you ready to explore the edges of what you’re capable of? If so, we’re waiting for you. The compass is in your hand—let’s see where it takes us.
